My Santa Clara experience has been really great. I have been lucky to be in our Film program within the Communication department, giving me access to hands-on experience on-set, and the freedom to explore, experiment, and learn in the process. It is a great experience working in creative teams, along with collaborating in content creation that we are all proud of.

I chose Communications because it includes various aspects of the way people, well, communicate, in particular with digital media. I enjoy understanding how it has an effect on not only what people believe, but how it perpetuates ideologies that are not usually representative of the real world. Because of that, I believe that film and video in particular have a huge responsibility in educating others, not just entertaining them.

I am President of the Santa Clara Gaming Guild and have also been editor to all the video class projects, focusing exclusively on AVID Media Composer these last four years across my film courses .
